How do the three tracks work?
The three tracks take you from preparing to invest, through making a decision, to using AI tools safely. Each track is short and meant to be read in order, because each lesson builds on the one before. You can begin with any track, but if you have never invested, start with Track 1.
Keep notes as you go. By the end of Track 2 you will have what you need for a written record of your next investment decision.
Track 1: what should you sort out before you invest?
Track 1 covers the groundwork most people skip: clearing expensive debt, building an emergency fund, setting goals and a timeline, knowing how large a fall you could live with, and understanding what fees will cost you. Finish it before you put money anywhere, because no investment makes up for a missing safety net.
- Before you invest: a first-time checklist. Afterwards, you can size an emergency fund from your essential spending and write a one-page plan.
- How much investment risk can you take? Afterwards, you can tell your tolerance for risk from your capacity for loss, and spot a mismatch with your timeline.
- How investment fees work over time. Afterwards, you can add every charge into one yearly figure and see what it costs you over the years.
Track 2: how do you make the decision and check who you pay?
Track 2 turns preparation into a decision. It gives you a 10-question check for any investment, shows you how to confirm that a firm or broker is genuine and on the official register, and teaches the red flags of fraud, including crypto and relationship scams. Use it every time an offer arrives.
- How to make an informed investment decision: a 10-question check. Afterwards, you can test any offer and write your decision down.
- How to check an investment firm or broker before you send money. Afterwards, you can check the register, spot a clone firm and confirm who would hold your money.
- Investment fraud red flags. Afterwards, you can recognise a scam before you pay, and know what to do if you already have.
Track 3: how can you use AI for investment research safely?
Track 3 shows how to use AI assistants to learn and to check, never to pick. It covers what AI can and can't do, why it can't reliably predict prices, a library of prompts for research, and how AI trading bot scams work. Read it if you use AI tools, or if an offer mentions AI.
- How to use AI for investing: what it can and can't do for you. Afterwards, you can follow a five-step routine that keeps AI answers checked and the decision yours.
- Can AI predict stock prices? Afterwards, you can explain why not, and see an 'AI prediction' offer for what it is.
- AI prompts for investment research. Afterwards, you have copy-ready prompts and guard lines for documents, costs and firms.
- AI trading bot scams: how they work and how to spot them. Afterwards, you can recognise the scam step by step and know what to do if you have paid.
Which lesson should you read first?
Start with the lesson nearest to the decision in front of you. If someone has just offered you an investment, read the firm check and the fraud red flags first, then come back to Track 1. If you have never invested, start at the beginning of Track 1. If you mainly want to use AI, begin with Track 3.
Want help applying the lessons to your own money?
The lessons are general and open to everyone. If you want to apply them to your own questions, with someone who can check your reasoning, that is what one-to-one tutoring is for. A tutor works through your documents and offers with you, and the decision always stays yours.
